Support Our Ongoing Efforts
While Saving Money!

Gas & Electric Companies have recently been deregulated which means there's terrific earning potential. In order for JSC to have a piece of the pie, all you have to do is sign up your electric/gas account(s) to save money on your bills (5-30%) - and JSC will get a commission every time you pay your bill. It won't cost to convert and the rates will be fixed. (You can also cancel at anytime.) In addition to energy bills, you can also buy your landline phone, mobiles, internet, Verizon Fios, Direct TV, Dish TV, Alarm Vivint or ADT and other services through ACN.

Managed by company member Antonio del Rosario: any sign up with ACN Xoom Energy and any of the services not only saves you money but the sales commission creates a continuous income stream for our company every month! Please consider investigating this new energy provider- for your benefit, and ours. (And feel free to tell your friends!)

Arts in Education
Spring Semester

JSC returns again this year to the NYC public schools with a residency and an ongoing series of workshops.
IS-201, in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, has featured JSC Shakespeare workshops in their 7th-8th Grade English classes for over a decade, and this spring we'll be back. In a six-week residency, our skilled Teaching Artists will be guiding students to their own performances of scenes from A Midsummer Night's Dream!

And at the Academy of American Studies, in Long Island City, Queens, JSC continues a tradition that began when this magnet high school first opened its doors in 1997 - the school's annual Shakespeare Day! - when JSC Teaching Artists take the entire freshman class on a journey from watching a Shakespeare performance to creating their own group performance - all in under two hours! This is our 17th year of AAS Shakespeare Day (wow!), and every student who has ever been a freshman at this school has participated in our workshop, which introduces them to Shakespeare just as they're beginning to study one of the plays in their English curriculum - This year it will be Macbeth!

People Like Us!

Read Broadway Legend Merle Louise's powerful testimonial about the value JSC brings to the NY theatre scene

The wonderful thing about Judith Shakespeare Company is that it makes the plays not only enjoyable for the Shakespearean scholars in the audience but also accessible to the novices. Under the expert direction of Joanne Zipay it is a vibrant and dynamic company, where the seasoned actor as well as the beginner can learn, grow, and hone her craft. It is a company of great comradery and love and I am proud to be a member of it!

JSC has also just received a $2500 grant from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and a $1000 grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
